Summer

So, as should be obvious, I haven’t felt like doing a damned thing since I finished my Half ironman. I didnt feel like running, swimming, or biking at all.

I fought through it and did my workouts anyway, but it was a struggle every step of the way. I have never felt so totally adverse to exercise, especially since I spent the preceeding year really enjoying it.

So here I am three weeks out from my Ironman race, not having done nearly the training I have done in the past year. I guess it’s technically about time to start tapering anyway, and it’s a good thing because I can not stand to run another step.

I talked to a friend of mine doing the same race and he said he feels the same way.

Its pretty miserable. Hopefully I still have the fitness to finish the race.

I need rest, but I can’t rest because I have to get through this race.
