Welcome!
Hello and welcome, friend! My name is Jim and this is my blog, constructed entirely of dreams and opinions. My lawyer said that a disclaimer would be a good idea, but he didn't include any jokes to go with it. Damned if I can think of any either.

500 songs 2009 and winter sucks
I got my song assignment for the 500 songs charity. It’s Don Henley’s “Heart of the Matter” so I have been practicing it up.
I told Mellie about it and she said “Oh I love that song”. Well, I had a look at the lyrics, and it appears to be written from the point of view of a man who has cheated on someone, gotten caught, gotten dumped, and is now all pissed because the girl he cheated on found someone new.
In the song he’s waxing philosophical about how he “think[s] it’s about forgiveness, even if, even if, [she] don’t love [him] anymore”.
Hey buddy… maybe you could have not cheated on her in the first place, OR you could be happy for her that she found someone new after you broke her heart. Pick a route here, Don.
Today was the first day of “power” spin class as opposed to “base building” spin class that I have been doing all winter. The difference would be that in “power” spin class you ride your balls off (above LT) the whole time and in “base building” spin class you try to ride at sub-LT levels for longer.
My coach Tony told me last week I should try to do two hours still but I was not at all feeling it today so I only rode one. I felt like I was gonna barf at the end of hour one so I packed it in. I feel kinda shitty about not riding the second hour but I just wasn’t there mentally.
I’m sick of spin class. I want winter to fuck off so I can be back outside on the bike like a normal person.
