Well, I’m practicing like mad for my gig this weekend. I definitely need to be good, just like any other gig. I know a lot of my friends will be there, though, so I have to be extra fancy in the pants area.

I’m trying to get BMI to let me in, but they do not respond to anything I send them, ever. I sent my original application over a year ago, then moved and forgot about it. Then I sent an email to the nashville office asking what was up with it, but I got no reply. Then I had a friend contact her friend who is the BMI person in Atlanta, but we haven’t heard anything back there either. Well… shit.

Just booked two writer’s in the round type shows in October and November. Those will be fun! Also, the DVD that was shot of my minitour of the Pacific Northwest is rumored to be completed and shipped to me. As soon as I see it I’ll post clips.

Yesterday I came home from the gym and went to kick off my sneaker. When I did, it flew up on to my desk and cleared all the delicate stuff I have piled up there off onto the floor. Nothing got broken, but wow. That was a stupid thing to do.

From now on i take my shoes off without kicking them onto my desk.

Man I have been listening to Mitch Hedberg all morning and now I want to talk like him all the time. I’m sad he’s dead.

I just had a rather lengthy talk with the fine folks over at Gryphon Networks regarding the spurious email addresses that had been getting inserted into my mailing list. They say it’s not them and they’re doing everything they can to stop it from happening. What’s more, based on the conversation I had with the gentleman who contacted me, I believe them that they’re not at fault.

Their representative was very polite and apologetic, even though I believe that their company is the victim of some annoying third party so they technically have nothing to apologise for. It sure means a lot that they cared enough to get in contact with me personally.

At any rate, just posting to say that Gryphon Networks is okay and not to blame for the annoying email address insertion. I called them a bunch of filthy thieving jackals, so I take that back too. They’re groovy dudes, really.
